What this website collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. The short version: only what you type into the demo form, and no tracking.

Who is responsible
Ostracon is a venture of VKBV, based in Antwerp, Belgium (company number BE1014638311). VKBV is the controller for personal data collected through this website. You can reach us about privacy through the contact form (choose "Other").
This policy covers ostracon.eu. The Ostracon platform at app.ostracon.eu has its own terms and privacy notice for customers and their supporters.

What we collect
When you book a demo
The demo form asks for your name, work email, organization, what you are writing as, and an optional message. We also record that you agreed to be contacted.
When you visit the site
Our web host keeps standard server logs: IP address, date and time, page requested, and browser type. We use no cookies, no analytics, and no advertising trackers. Fonts and scripts load from our own server, so your visit is not shared with Google or any other font or script provider.

Why we use it
- Demo requests: to reply to you and arrange the demo. The legal basis is your consent, which you give with the checkbox on the form. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to us.
- Server logs: to keep the site secure and working. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or rent your data.

How long we keep it
- Demo requests: 12 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a customer.
- Server logs: for a limited period, as set by our web host, after which they are deleted.

Your rights
Under the GDPR, you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or get a copy to take elsewhere. You can also object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Ask through the contact form (choose "Other") and we will reply within one month.
If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work.

Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how we use data you already gave us, we tell you by email first.
